Alocasia ‘Stingray’

Family: Araceae (Aroids)

This unusual Alocasia has large leaves that quickly taper into a long, thin tip much resembling a stingray tail and awarding it the name Alocasia ‘Stingray’. The stems too have an interesting aesthetic with a mottled pattern similar to Alocasia ‘Zebrina’.  This Asian native aroid can grow 1-2m tall at maturity and is a very eye catching conversation piece.

11cm pot.

Can grow upwards of 1m. Leaves 20-40cm.
Allow soil to dry out a little between watering. Benefits from increased humidity.
Appreciates some filtered sun / plenty of bright, indirect light.
Prefers a coarse, free draining soil.
