Gynura aurantiaca is commonly called the Purple Passion Plant and Purple Velvet Plant due to its bright purple soft hairs that cover its leaves and stems and feel like velvet. Native to South East Asia Gynura is an unusual and attractive plant that does well as a house plant or in a terrarium / vivarium.
