Nidularium schultesianum ‘Fireball’ syn. Neoregilia ‘Fireball’
This variegated bromeliad is endemic to Brazil where it can be found growing as an epiphyte and lithopohyte. Bromeliads play an important part in rainforest ecology that is replicated in vivariums and provide a place for dart frogs to lay their eggs and raise tadpoles. Small purple flowers form in the tank after which the plant will produce offsets and develop into a cluster of plants.
