 Begonia bipinnatifida | Fern Leaf Begonia

 

Family: Begoniaceae

 

This rare and unusual Begonia is native to New Guinea. Begonia bipinnatifida is a small shrub like Begonia with fern like foliage that is dark red – bronze – black with occasional small pink flowers. Suited to growing in terrariums and areas with very high humidity.

 

7cm pot.

 

Can grow up to 25-30cm, prune to maintain desired size.
Requires high humidity to grow. Best in terrarium / vivarium.
Bright, indirect light.
Moist, well draining soil mix. Grows well in sphagnum/perlite.
