Family: Araceae (Aroids)
Although often sold as Monstera minima and Philodendron tetrasperma the botanical name of this climbing aroid is Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. Native to Thailand and Malaysia Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is very fast growing and easy to care for. While it does resemble a Monstera deliciosa the leaves only grow up to 15cm making it better suited to growing in the home. Can be grown as a trailing plant but really comes into its own when given a support to climb.
Leaves up to 15cm. Will climb as tall as allowed.
Grows best with increased humidity but isn’t too fussy. Allow soil to dry out a little between watering while still retaining some moisture.
Appreciates some filtered sun / bright, indirect light.
Prefers a soil that is free draining and rich in organic matter.
