Zamioculcas zamiifolia | ZZ Plant | Zanzibar Gem

Family: Araceae (Aroids)

Zamioculcas zamiifolia are commonly called ZZ plants and are native to West Africa. They are succulent plants and have large, bulbous rhizomes that store water for droughts. ZZ plants are very easy to care for and can be grown in low light and go without water for months at a time. They prefer to be a little rootbound and will not tolerate a saturated soil as this will cause them to rot.

12cm pot.

Grows to around 75cm tall.
Drought tolerant. Allow soil to dry completely between watering.
Bright, indirect light. Good for lower light levels.
Prefers a soil that is quite free draining.
